This auction is for 1 NEW 2002 mint in original box Tomy Light Saber, (Box was opened to install batteries and make sure it was fully functional). Batteries included... This Light Saber is true to the film size and measures approx. 40" long Let me tell you why this is considered extremely rare. I was recently in China on business and met with a factory that had been manufacturing toys under the TOMY license and noticed they had a product that I had never seen before. Apparently these light-up light sabers were the first of their kind but unfortunately like most new technologies they were priced well beyond what the market would bare, ($279.99 USD). They only had 2 original samples left and I acquired both so you will receive 1 of 2 that exist. Understand, these never made it to market so that makes this very rare; 1 for you and 1 for me. The sad part is they destroyed all the other samples and tooling, it was probably in their contract but it's still a shame. Unless you can read Japanese you won't have a clue how this operates based upon the photos, is what I can tell so far. When you open the box you see a black stitched carry case with the proper insignia, the light saber may be stored in this over the shoulder like a rifle for protection.
