you have the opportunity to by one of the rarest stoneware animals of Lisa Larson's earliest works. It is so rare that it's not even photographed to the complete reference book - Lisa Larson Gustavsberg 1954 - 80, that shows all of her designs until 1980 when she ended her employment at Gustavsberg. (It is of course mentioned in the text.) And I have never before seen this American Bison figure for sale on eBay. It is from her very first creations in 1955 called Lilla Zoo (Little Zoo). Stora Zoo (Large Zoo) was first created in 1957. In other words, this is an extremely rare handpainted vintage American Bison up for sale for the first time on eBay. Furthermore it's a very charming exponent of her whimsical and imaginative pottery work. This is a great collectors item in the true sense of the word. In excellent condition with one miniscule shallow loss of surface glaze. (See my pictures.) This is the only "flaw" on this brute but cute animal. (Considering it's rarity it should not count at all.) However it still displays absolutely wonderfully as you hopefully can see on my pictures. It is 7 centimeter (2,76 inches) in height and 9 centimeter (3,54 inches) in length. Unmarked. I have a very fair reserve on this great American Bison, especially compared to its rarity and other Lisa Larson figures that have been sold recently.
