Circa: 1915: Up for auction is a extremely rare, seldom seen Mini 8 Day Walnut Gilbert Banjo Clock. It features the original Mercury Thermometer and original Barometer as well. In 20 years, I have only seen one other and it was in a private collection and not for sale. It has been serviced and it runs well. The signed silver dial is perfect no wear or tarnishing. This clock has a marine Lever Balance staff 8 day movement that winds from the back and all of this clock is 100% Original and un restored. Perfect for the fussy collector like myself, who likes them all original even the finish. The thermometer works perfectly and the barometer does as well. it needs a slight adjustment and the pointer needs adjusting. A very minor point but I mention everything. Really how many of these have you seen lately. I know a Banjo collector who has almost every banjo every made and he does not own this one. Had I been able to contact him, this would not be listed. Clock is not featured in The Tran Duy Ly book they are that rare.
