Extremely Rare Pantera Dealer item from 1972! Product Merchandising Guide As most collectors know, anything having to do with dealer only items are extremely few and far between. These are items that were never available to the public. Unlike sales brochures and posters and such, dealer items are much more difficult to obtain because they were never intended for the public to see. This is one such item. It is a Detomaso Pantera L "Product Merchandising Guide" which told the salesmen at Lincoln-Mercury dealers, in essence, how to sell a Pantera. The information included gave insight into who the "typical" Pantera customer was, the Panteras market competition in other cars, how to demonstrate the car (would you believe even how to look at it?), plus many, many other fascinating insights into the Pantera dealers world in the early 1970's. The guide also compares the Pantera to the competition it faced in the marketplace from the Corvette, Jaguar XKE, Porsche 911 and even the Ferrari Dino! I know many Detomaso literature collectors the world over and only a couple come to mind as having this reference.
