Extemely rare Westinghouse Whirlind desk fan with 8 inch brass blades and brass oil cups! It comes completely refurbished and ready to use for years to come! Stands 12 inches tall, the cage is 9 inches across and the base is 6 inches across. This fan was disassembled and cleaned, the cage, base and motor housing have been polished. The brass blades and oil cups have been polished with a buffing wheel but have not been clearcoated. This is a plug in fan (no switch) and has been rewired with 6 feet of reproduction twisted cloth covered wired, a new rubber wiring grommet in the base and the original bakelite plug with new paper insulator. New green wool felt on the base to protect your table top. One of the reasons these old fans last so long is that the bearings have spring loaded felt oilers that kept them lubricated, unlike todays throw away plastic fans. The oiling cups have been serviced with new felt wicking, all you have to do is add some oil, plug it in and enjoy the breeze!
