GERMAN Antique Coffee Mill Vintage Coffee Mill w/handle and drawer Approx 4" X 4" X 4 1/2" (w/handle 8" tall) In working order Wood appears to be beech - lovely! Handle on top w/matching deep brown Ceramic knob Handle on front small drawer is black knob Reads "Zassenhaus Mokka" w/red lion holding umbrella on metal plate- quite unusual! Reads "Zassenhaus" on handle in script writing All original - unretouched - in excellent condition Bought while living near Kaiserslautern, Germany After further research, this type of coffee mill is one of the premier coffee mills in Germany - known for its fine grinding mechanism for coffee! Type in Zassenhaus grinders, and you will find a wealth of information. If new ones are running over $100, this one is worth every penny. This is one of a kind and is made of an unusually fine old wood with original patina!!!!!
