Retired Lladró "Sharpening theCutlery" #5204 Figurine Hand Made in Spain This is how they did it in the early 20th Century (see 1927 photo below of a worker sharpening c utlery )! Perfect for a chef who appreciates the extremely hard work involved in the old ways of handling cutlery and sharpening kitchen tools, or simply anyone who loves to cook. Lladró " Sharpening the Cutlery" Spanish Name: Afilador Ambulante Sculptor: Salvador Furió Height: 11.5 inches Finish: Glazed Year Issued: 1984 Year Retired: 1987 Item #01005204 Going for $975 elsewhere online! Hand Made in Spain This “Sharpening the Cutlery" figurine is no longer being produced and thus there are a limited number of them that exist. Whereas other Lladro figurines that have been retired are relatively easy to find, this one is quite rare. There is a bit of wear to the very bottom as shown in the photograph, and although the box cannot be located, the figurine looks brilliant.
