Extremely Rare Sailor Trident Mechanical Pencil is something special for those who love the legendary Sailor Trident fountain pen. It's the matching mechanical pencil. These are nearly impossible to find today, but in the 1970s and 80s they were often sold in sets with the Trident fountain pen. How rare is it today? This is the first Trident pencil I have ever seen. The Sailor Trident fountain pen was introduced in 1983 and is a very unique pen that has lots of devoted fans today, although it was discontinued several years ago. The mechanical pencil has the same steel construction as the Trident fountain pen and has the Trident logo T on the clip. The lead size is 0.5 (0.5 millimeters) which is pretty much standard.This pencil is still new old stock but does not have a sticker or price tag. It was sold as a set with the pen. I will offer the pencil by itself so that those who already have the pen can complete their collection without buying another pen. The Trident was intended for the domestic Japanese market only. Today it is very difficult to find, and that goes double for the mechanical pencil. Get it while you can. T will come a day soon enough when you won't be able to find any more Trident pens or the pencils. They haven't been produced since the 80s.If you already own the Trident pen, this would make the perfect companion in your pocket. It also makes the perfect gift for the Trident lover who thought he or she had everything.This is a simple and very sturdy mechanical pencil, great for traveling.
