You are viewing perhaps one of the best 2008 election pins .This very scarce pinback button is almost too good for words. This pin is a "take off" of an early 1900's pin which commemorated President Teddy Roosevelt inviting Booker T. Washington for dinner at the White House. It was the first time a black person was invited to dine at the White House. This pin shows a hopeful future scene for Obama, when he, as the president, will invite his supporters such as Ted Kennedy for dinner. I have met a few times the gentlemen that constructed this fantastic pin. Without a doubt this is one of the best pins in the 2008 election! This button is very scarce, and has never been on ebay before. However this pin was on the famous Al Anderson auction. The listing was for the size down at 2 1/4". This button brought a breathtaking $207.90! This is not your average pin. This pin has only been available at few buttons shows. And as to my knowledge only at Ohio shows or possibly border states to Ohio, as the artist is out of Akron, Ohio. I beliveve that t are only a few hundered of these made in the 3 inch size. The 2 1/4" button is completley sold out! Good luck with this auction and Merry Christmas !!
