This Stunning Example Of A Free Form Walnut Burl Wood Coffee Table Was Thought To Have Been Made In The Studios Of George Nakashima , Who's pieces are highly sought after ,and usually go for 10's of Thousands of Dollars. His Works were never Signed, and he never Actually made any of his Furniture Himself. He did the Designs, and there was a Full Staff of Master Woodworkers, and Joiners that did the actual Making. These Cabinetmakers and Joiners, Eventually went off on their own, and kept making Nakashima like pieces, ( This piece is one of those ) these were usually Signed, and his Daughter Mira, still makes this type of Furniture ,but her's are all signed. This Amazing Piece is not signed, and is actually a Walnut Tree Burled Base ,and the Feeder Roots are the 4 Legs. It is a Masterpiece of Handwork ,and craftsmanship. Burled Wood is among the most Expensive wood to Hand Craft Furniture out of, and extremely difficult to work with. There is an Inlaid Free Form Granite Top, that has a Seperation in it from a move a long time ago. This Top cost over 800.00 to have cut. The Separation does not detract from it's looks. The Wood has been Hand worked, Sanded ,Cleaned and Sealed ,so that this piece will never Age,past it's current looks.
