F1 Michael Schumacher Autographed Lithograph Art This auction is for a limited edition lithographed art piece that has been personally signed by Michael Schumacher, using a black Sharpie . The art piece is from an original artwork (2001) by Gavin MacLeod and is called "Scarlet Fever" and shows the Ferrari team performing a pit stop on Michael at the US Grand Prix. The lithograph comes from All Star Galleries and is a limited edition and this is number 424 of 500. The corners of the litho are slightly bent, but will be covered in framing of this amazing piece. The art piece measures 31" x 23.5". Schumacher was noted throughout his career for his ability to produce fast laps at crucial moments in a race, to push his car to the very limit for sustained periods. Motor sport author Christopher Hilton observed in 2003 that "A measure of a driver's capabilities is his performance in wet races, because the most delicate car control and sensitivity are needed," and noted that like other great drivers, Schumacher's record in wet conditions shows very few mistakes: up to the end of the 2003 season, Schumacher won 17 of the 30 races in wet conditions he contested The print was produced as an edition of 500 in 2001. The art work is finely detailed and the color intensity is stunning. Gavin's racing artwork is hanging in the homes of many racers including Gerry Forsythe, Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Roger Penske, Emerson Fittipaldi, Michael Andretti, Jacques Villeneuve, Roger Penske and Carl Haas.
