Fabulous antique spelter bulldog. On his collar reads: UNION PETROLEUM CO. I was once painted a bronze or gold color, some remains. I'm not sure of his exact use. His head has a hole in the top that goes down about 2 1/4". Maybe it was to hold a lighter or a cigarette. When I acquired him, he held a match book on his back, again don't know if that is the real purpose or maybe it was to hold a business card. He is just fabulous and measures 3 3/4" tall x almost 5" long. He has no other markings other than on his collar. He is in great condition with loss of paint to his body.
