STUNNING C1880- VICTORIAN 10K ROSE GOLD PADLOCK BRACELET-30GM This is a STUNNING Victorian 10k Rose Gold Padlock Bracelet with a gorgeous solid repousse heart padlock and links . The chain has Albert links with repousse carvings and the padlock has ruby and seed pearls , and the chain has emerald and seed pearls... GORGEOUS ! VERY RARE to find one encrusted with gems... they are usually plain.. ... The back of the chain has three little Seed Pearls and three little Emeralds set into a carved SHAMROCK..and the heart has carved flowers inset with a Ruby and a Seed Pearl..... I have sold a lot of padlock bracelets but none encrusted with gems... so dont miss this one ! HISTORY It is Circa 1880 by design and styling... and these are becoming VERY RARE...especially one like this w the links are SOLID not hollow... and are highly sought after by collectors. It is stamped CAM & Co, which was of an extremely high quality...their items are highly collectable and fetch extremely high book prices.. they produced mainly 10 karat gold and 10 karat gold shell jewelry. DESCRIPTION & SIZING The padlock and matching chain are a beautiful Antique Rose Gold color ... that buttery hue with a hint of rose gold...and the band is gold shell and the padlock is Rolled Gold with a gold shell front.. .... Antique Gold Shell has a solid outer layer of 12k carat gold over a thin metal core.. Although not stamped for gold content it tests at a minimum of 10 karat gold...as most of their items were. T are no dents and the links are SOLID and are Albert Style with the repousse carved links.. and it is stunning.. These old padlock bracelets are extremely sought after, and command very high book prices on antique websites The beautiful Albert style curb links measure just under 3/8 " in length and the padlock measures 5/8" in length by just under 1/2" width ..with carved flowers on the front inset with a seed pearl and ruby stone.. ..and the repousse links are all gold soldered which denotes its quality This beautiful heirloom piece measures approx 7 " in length , and would fit a smaller wrist as it does not have a key.. so you simply slide it over the wrist.. but you can still obtain these and if you have one then it would fit a larger wrist.. This is a beautiful looking piece when worn. .and I will be watching this auction with interest. It is becoming harder to come across these 1800's padlock bracelets! A STUNNING piece...! It has that distinct style, and the padlock is just beautiful with it stones and the chain has three little Emeralds and three Seed Pearls at the back... I was advised these stones are real..but as i am not a gemologist i cant test them . The only fault I can see is that t is a tiny Ruby stone missing from the front.... but honestly i didnt notice it until i looked under my loupe as they are quite small.... and this is an inexpensive replacement, and if you would like I can supply a stone or a little diamond or have it fitted for you.. but honeslty it looks beautiful just how it is on the wrist.... The only other thing is that the back of the padlock has a tiny bit of wear to the Rolled Gold but this is consistent with age and not visible when being worn and apart from that it is in just LOVELY antique condition considering its vast age.. . and just so UNITQUE with being gem encrusted.. . This weighs approx 30 grams which further adds to its appeal ! The padlock is just GORGEOUS...and the links are solid not hollow.. This is a MUST for the antique rose gold padlock bracelet collector.. Please note it does not have a key to open ...The photos are quite brassy looking but it is a beautiful soft antique rose gold color ...it was very difficult to photograph..but please check my feedback so you may feel confident bidding with me. IPlease note that while I do try to describe the items to the very best of my ability, all my items are either antique or vintage , so tfore are not brand new and are not perfect..they are a...
