This vintage Mah Jongg Mahjong set is by Met Games of New York City. A true heirloom to treasure and use for many years to come. It is unique and beautiful as it features 2 sets of consecutive 1 through 5 flowers and 1 through 5 emperors as well as 2 carved happy Buddah joker tiles. The tiles carving makes them look to be embossed. The tiles are made of butterscotch bakelite and are hand carved and painted. The one bams feature a gorgeous perched parrot in green, red and blue. This set comes with 154 bakelite tiles with vibrant, flawless paint , 4 golden colored racks, smooth vintage coins - play money, a pair of bakelite dice, a bakelite bettor and a case to hold it all . This set is in excellent condition. This set is ready for either version of the game: American or Chinese. THE TILES : 154 hand painted and carved bakelite tiles. This set was made originally with 148 tiles. In order to make it playable the Western style 6 additional tiles were matched and stickered for jokers. Each chunky tile measures: 1 1/4" x 7/8" x 7/16" deep. The paint quality on the tiles is excellent. The tiles consist: 36 bams, 36 cracks, 36 dots, 16 winds, 12 dragons, 10 flowers ( 1 full sets 1-5 of emperors & another set of 1-5 of seasons) 2 carved jokers and 6 stickered jokers.
