Faber-Castell 2/83N Novo Duplex Log Log Slide Rule . New in Box!!! Made in Germany. Includes Faber-Castell 2/83N slide rule, green clam-shell plastic storage case with clear plastic cover, accessory ruler and an instruction booklet in English for models 62/83N and 2/83N. Reported in the May 2006 issue of Scientific American magazine, page 84: The "Faber-Castell 2/83N slide rule is considered by some to be the finest and most beautiful slide rule ever made." New in Box. Slide rule and contents were removed from storage box to take photographs only. Never used. Plastic body with bright anodized aluminum end braces, duplex 5/4-line cursor on a large 2 1/4 inch wide body. 14"/10" (37cm/25 cm). Expanded W square root scales for both square root of x and 10x, eight Log Log scales. Anodized metal end braces with rubber insert bumpers to prevent desk top damage. Finger grips on the slide for gripping and smooth movement. The rule is self documenting for all scales on right side. Has pythagorean P scale, expanded square scales, folded scales and scale-over ranges. 30 scales, 11 cursor lines. Two colored (black and red) with light green backgound.
