Faberge Wooden Jewelry Box /Case SatinLined / Mint This auction is for a great jewelry box made by Faberge. I found this box at an estate sale with no jewelry in it, but the box is beautiful and someone might enjoy it. Originally there was golden cuff links # F 2060 MB 2. The Certificate of authenticity for the cuff links made by Faberge jewelry designer Victor Mayer is included. His stamp is impressed into the picture of the cuff links and there is a small blue tag with his name on it is also in the box. The box is wooden with golden Faberge trade mark on top of it. I don’t know exactly what kind of wood was used to make this wonderful box. I believe the top of middle of the box is made of tiger or bird eye maple wood. The box is made very preciously because the jewelry which was there was very expensive and the box is made the same way to complement the expensive piece. The box is lacquered. The inside of the box lid is lined with creamy satin fabric. The bottom part of the box is lined with same creamy color velvet. There are two slots for inserting cuff links but I think it could hold earrings as well. The bottom of the box is covered with velvet which matches the color of the box.
