I wish I could convey the real warmth and richness of this beautiful carpet. It is woven very finely, and super tightly. It is complicated in its manufacture, but very pleasing and uncomplicated to the eye. The central background is a beautiful warm cream color. The secondary field is light grey, that was all hand carded. I have shown closeups of all the little flaws in the carpet. T is a small hole or unraveling in the upper left hand quadrant, of the cream border, about a 1" section. all other unravelings are in the border, and I have show the perimiter all the way around. T is only the one stain, and it looks like tea, or coffee,and is not a pet stain. T is no odor to this weaving. All in all t is very little damage to this piece, and would be quite easy and inexpensive to rectify. This wonderful weaving from the 1930-1940 period. This piece came from a vermont estate, and was only used briefly by the grandaughter. Please email me with any questions. Size again is 40" by 64
