Approx 8 1/2" beautiful decorative plate. The mark in the back is unreadable, but it looks like an eagle - Austrian Prussian ? in the center with foreign writing all around it in blue. We tried looking at it with a jeweler's loop and still can't make it out. The plate is really exquisite and we are showing you a close up of the figures on the plate. It has gold tone all around the edges. The gold tone does show scratches all over. There is a small "blemish" or "flea bite" on one of the trees. While we don't know for sure, this does look like it was hand painted? This came from an estate sale, where it was hanging on the wall. Not sure of the age? No cracks or crazing. It will need a cleaning in it's new home, since we are not experts, we did not want to ruin it.
