From my personal vintage jewelry collection: This is a fabulous, very decadent-looking bracelet in an elaborate art deco design. An early piece, it is signed in an oval cartouche on the back of the centerpiece by the wonderful designer "Hobe". Pieces by this talented designer, who is one of my very favorites, are hard to come by and in great demand. This is one of the earlier pieces, of elaborate style, and absolutely beautiful! I love this piece, and hope it finds a wonderful new home. It is rare, and fairly difficult to run across.Hobe' bracelets with chains are hard to find! This one is very different, and very beautiful. It has an ornate centerpiece containing 3 large amethyst-colored emerald-cut rhinestones, surrounded by tiny bluish purple rounds that also grace the clasp and the other end. The elaborate centerpiece is connected to either end by 5 slinky golden serpentine chains which are still very shiny despite the age they must be. Each stone in the centerpiece is trimmed with beautiful golden filigree in an awesome display. This bracelet is a magnificent piece! The rhinestones are faceted and prong-set -- signature touches of this and many other fine designers from this period. This is such a beautiful and rare bracelet. T appears to be only minimal wear, if any, to the stones and to the metalwork, any of which would be consistent with the estimated age of the piece. It really looks marvelous for its age in terms of wear. T appear to be no stones missing, dark, dull, or cloudy, which is amazing in itself. The metalwork shows some expected wear, especially on the back, w it is not seen. It is still quite shiny regardless. Measuring approx. 6 7/8 inches long and 7/8 inches wide at the centerpiece, the weighty and extremely well-made bracelet is a very wearable size and weight. T is a working safety chain, and quite secure clasp that appears nice and tight. The centerpiece is slightly arched, so as to conform beautifully to the shape of the wearer's wrist. This is a fabulous old Art Deco bracelet that I hate parting with! Although familiar to collectors, you don't see this design very often, and you will not be disappointed in it! ***Pictures always make the pieces less brilliant & colorful than they are in real life!****All sales final.
