Up for Auction is the Ultimate Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers Collection of true classic Comics. The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers are a trio of underground comic strip characters created by the U.S. artist Gilbert Shelton. Beginning in 1968, their adventures were collected in a series of underground comics published by Rip Off Press. The Freak Brothers consisted of 3 Stoner Brothers, Freewheelin' Franklin, Phineas, Fat Freddy and of course....Fat Freddy's Cat. Up for bid are the first 7 books. Plus 2 extra repeat copies of book 3 and 4 (pictured). Another note of interest is that somew between book 3 and book 4 the price of the comic jumped from 60 cents to 75. Each copy of book 3 has 2 different prices, the second was obviously a sticker placed on the book by the Comic Shop/Drug Store owner. (see picture) Also of interest, T was another Price jump between the Release of Book 4 and 5. I also have proof of this change as one copy of Issue 4 is only 75 cents while the same issue printed later that year, spiked to $1.00.
