FABULOUS LARGE HAND CARVED WOOD FOLK ART SWAN DECOY #1 LISTING THE BEST PAIR OF ANTIQUE FOLK ART SWANS TONIGHT I have been very busy buying lately and have a HUGE amount of antiques and collectibles listed, please be sure to check my other auctions, you will not be disappointed. What a find - this is a rare find for the collector of decoys or of great old folk art. This gorgeous wood swan, dates to at least the 1930's and quite probably even earlier, it has wonderful form and measures approx. 16" long x 8-1/2" to top of head (seems close to life size to me). It is made of wood with original old white paint (great wear and flaking) and the beak is yellow; with the eyes being are metal/tin. This is exactly what every collector looks for, completely untouched condition, this carving has spent years outside every summer, and still shows signs of lichen, dirt etc, it is so much more fabulous in real life !!! T is actually a pair of these for sale, you can see the two together in the last photo, but to be clear you are only bidding on one carving, the other is listed in another auction. The shipping for one carving is $19.99 plus insurance (eBay shows the total below, with one hundred dollars of insurance), but if someone purchases both, shipping will only be $29.99 plus insurance. I am sure this would sell for a handsome price at any antique show or shop, but with my low opening bid and NO RESERVE someone could score a huge bargain !! Don't miss out...bid now !!
