Fabulous Mason Masonic Needlepoint Sampler Framed

Welcome to my auction! Today I am listing a vintage needlepoint punch-paper sampler that is absolutely fabulous. The Masons are the subject of this sampler and the detail and intricate scenes are amazing. The pictures tell the story of just how well done this labor of love was achieved. The sampler is framed in a vintage walnut frame trimmed in gold. The glass is original and is wavy. T is no visible chips, cracks, or damage to the glass or the frame. The overall measurement of the frame is approximately: 23 3/4" high x 20" wide. The glass measures approximately: 21" high x 16" wide. As you can see in some of the pictures, the background was not completely finished in some of the areas. T is also a separation of the punched-paper (not a tear) on one side of the picture. It measures about 2 1/2". The separation is along the holes and does not really affect the sampler at all (see picture for detail). The yarns are bright and the sampler itself is not faded, has no water stains, or odors. On the back of the frame is a sticker with the maker's name and date: Emma A. Hutchins, 1879.
