Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a FABULOUS group of five Meissen porcelain 10" dinner plates. These stunning plates are decorated with a petal shaped outer edge with a one-inch border divided into 12 sections with a molded border in a basket weave pattern known as the "alt ozier" or old ozier pattern. The decoration is beautifully hand-painted with floral sprigs and bouquets of assorted natural flowers. Each plate weighs 1 1/4 pound. Please note that we have a total of 11 of these lovely plates with the other 6 being listed separately so please check our out auctions.These outstanding plates are marked with the blue crossed swords under the glaze and each is impressed with an incised numeral 2901 and "22" and each is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The design is heavily applied and the colors are bright and t are no scratches anyw in the center of the decorated plates.The Meissen factory was founded in 1710 and is still in operation producing the World's most expensive porcelains. This pattern dates to 1755, although I am unsure exactly when the set was made. We have a total of 50 pieces of this china from the same set which we will be listing in the next couple of days so please check our other auctions.
