This auction is for a fabulous Tiffany Studios Lamp base #655 with the original gold patina. The brass plate base is impressed "Tiffany Studios New York 655" as shown in photo. The base is in very condition, no dents or scratches.

The lamp stands 31 1/2" tall.

It appears that this lamp originally had 4 pull chains. The sockets must have been replaced and a switch added to the base. If this is so, it was a long time ago as this has a vintage cord and switch (see photos).It does not have the original finial.

This lamp is listed on page 283 of "Tiffany at Auction" by Alistair Duncan, 1981, Rizzoli Press. It is shown t with its original fabric "coolie " lamp shade.

The lamp is very heavy and shipping is based on a well packed box weighing 11 pounds.

Arizona residents must pay 6.1% sales tax.
