Fabulous Victorian Sea Shell Box Pin Cushion & Mirror

This early antique sea shell box measures just shy of 6 1/2 inches tall x 4 3/4 inches wide x 3 1/2 inches deep. The box is made from cardboard, decorative paper and shells. The cardboard supports the back, the base, lid and circular box on the front. The box is covered with old paper that looks like wood with gold scroll decoration on the front and plain wood decoration on the back and base.. The background w the shells are attached is painted gold. On the top center is a small oval mirror and on the top lid of the box is a small pin cushion covered in a worn piece of red satin fabric. T are 3 shells missing on the bottom edge and some paper loss on the wood designed paper. T are also some black stitches showing that secured the base to the back. This is guaranteed to be OLD...it's a great piece of shell art! Please check out my other auctions for another shell box from the same lot.
