ANTIQUE / VINTAGE JAPANESE EMBROIDERED SILK WEDDING KIMONO

Fabulous, wonderful and super gorgeous Japanese "Utikake" for a wedding or display. Incredibly exquisite, elegant and so graceful. This is ancient art at its finest. To make this kimono today would cost thousands. This is a genuine Japanese kimono. This kimono is filled with flower carts and w the carts are filled with beautiful over flowing gold silk embroidered flowers. Maybe it is the Japanese emperor's flower cart with chrysanthemum, peony flowers, pine leaves and apricot blossoms but I am unsure of the type of flowers on this kimono but all are skillfully embroidered in gold silk. The inside is red silk with gold dots which look like rich French knots. The hem is very thick and heavy. This kimono is approximately 10 lbs. With this beautiful " Utikake" kimono. All materials made up in this fabulous kimono are silk. This Utikake was probably saved after one wedding and put away as an American bride saves her wedding dress. It is a stunning kimono and of the fines quality. The condition is excellent. I understand it is difficult to get so luxurious and valuable an utikake like this even in Japan at this low price. Please see photos. These are becoming more and more difficult to find, especially one of this quality. The colors are exquisite and make a statement. It truly is a beautiful kimono.
