Up for auction is a beautiful reddish brown mahogany drum table manufactured by Brandt Tables & Cabinet Makers, Hagerstown, Maryland ca., 1930-40's. This table is #1 of a matching pair. This Duncan Phyfe style piece features a rich mahogany grain, a very pretty double inlaid band around the apron, carved center pedestal and four graceful outward curved legs with brass clawfoot toe caps. In addition, t are two drawers and a 1" brass gallery surrounding the table top. The outdoor pics and flash tend to lighten the mahogany somewhat and brighten the brass... it is a darker hue. The condition and appearance is just excellent, only noting a couple of infintessimal scratches. T is a "hardly worth mentioning" little bend or crook to the gallery that is barely noticeable. Lastly, the original brass hardware ring pulls (4) have over time, lost their backplates. Most would not even notice or care because the rings look just great as is. However, if you feel the need, Van Dykes Restoration Hardware does carry quite a few solid antique style pull rings appropriate for this table. Van Dykes prices are so reasonable!!
