This auction is for a Vintage FADA Catalin Tube Radio . From the research that I have done this is the very first catalin radio every produced by FADA and is a model 5F60. It is a smaller set measuring only 8"x5"x5". I am selling this for a friend of mine whose father was in the radio repair business during his working years. This is one of many radios that has been sitting in his workshop untouched for the past 30+ years. I haven't done anything to clean it other than wipe it down with a soft damp cloth to get the years of dust off of it. As you can see in the last few pictures, light shines right through both the cabinet and green catalin grill. The flaws that I can see are a very tight stress line near the back bottom corner, a tiny chip on the right side of the bottom louver, it is missing one knob, and the cord has been cut so it is untested and being sold as-is. Other than that, this is a beautiful all original FADA radio being offered with no reserve. The green catalin grille against the butterscotch case really sets this one apart.
