Specimen: This is a boxed and mounted micromount of FAHEYITE, (Mn 2+ ,Mg)Fe 3+ 2Be 2(PO 4) 4·6H 2O , from the Roosevelt Mine, Custer Co, SD The specimen consists of several small balls of white acicular xls on dark matrix. . The overall size of the specimen is approximately 8x10x5mm. The view in the Gallery photograph is approximately 4x6 mm. The specimen is in a 1¼x1¼x1¼" hinged top box and mounted with putty.
