This week I am offering an Original Faile Varied edition Print on paper!! This week I am offering a Limited edition print by Faile (Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller), entitled "Challenger, Edition 1". This piece comes from an extremely limited edition of only 24 pieces. It was created in 2006. This piece has several of Faile's typical bells and whistles, including; Being Stamped as "edition 1", stamp on verso 10 of 24. In addition, it has "Faile" signed in graphite on the rear bottom right, and it also has the Faile dog Blind stamp. This print was one of Faile's earliest iconic images, they pasted this all over the streets of NYC back in 2006. The creation of this prints is also is the reason they write 1986 on the front of their prints....that is the year when the challenger exploded after just lifting off. Faile Challenger (Edition 1)Varied-edition print of 24.Acrylic & Silkscreen ink on Paper.Lenox 100 Paper.Dimensions: 18 x 24 Inches.Signed, Stamped & NumberedBy Faile. 2006 Faile is not always kind to their work as it goes through their process, and finished pieces often having minor spots, dings, ripples, dents, creases and stains of various kinds throughout the front and verso of many of their works. This piece is one of Faile's cleanest, earlier, works, predominately featuring various hues of Red, white and black. The piece is in excellent condition, and does not have any damage that I am aware of, other than a slight bend to one corner. The "bend" is very slight, barely worth mentioning, but in the sake of full disclosure I wanted to mention it. It measures about 1/8th of an inch from the corner/ edge....truthfully, I have seen much worse on prints coming directly from Faile's workshop. There are NO RIPS OR TEARS. Having said as much, please ask questions ifyou have any because you get what you see and it is being sold AS-IS (which happens to be in excellent condition). This is 100% guaranteed to be hand made by Faile. There is a COA from an online gallery included with this purchase. When I started collecting Faile, I never worried about the issue of authenticity, primarily because they had so many self authenticating parts included in each piece (signatures, marks, dates, edition numbers, and blind stamps) that I couldn't imagine anybody would ever consider that any Faile piece was a Fake). Honestly, in my 12 years of collecting, I have never even heard of a Fake Faile print. NO RESERVE AUCTION!!
