UP FOR SALE IS A GENIUNE 1856 FLYING EAGLE PENNY. I TOOK THIS COIN TO MY LOCAL COIN DEALER TODAY,AND HE EXAMINED IT WITH A MAGNIFYING LOOP AND HE CONFIRMED TO ME THAT THIS COIN IS A 1856 FLYING EAGLE PENNY . THE COIN'S DATE IS THERE,AND LIKE MOST OVER 100 YEARS OLD IT HAS SOME CORROSION FRONT AND BACK. THE ONE CENT LOGO IS VISIBLE,THE EAGLE ITSELF IS SHOWING AT MOST OF THE WAY,EVEN THOU HIS HEAD IS NOT AT HIS FULLEST. SOME OF THE FEATHER DETAILS ARE STILL ON THE COIN,AND THE LETTERS FROM THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ARE THERE AS WELL. THE RIMS HAVE SOME SMALL NICS,BUT OTHER THAN THAT LOOKS LIKE A FAIR TO GOOD COIN TO ME.. THIS COIN IS READY TO BE SHIPPED. SHIPPING IS FREE. Before this auction I took this coin to Astoria Coins and they examined it and the coin dealer mentioned to me that the last digit on this coin is a 6. Use Judgement as far as bidding for this coin and see for yourself on this deal. I examined the coin and as well as my wife whose better eye she has,both agreed that this indeed was a 6. The coin displays the same atributes as the same 1856 Flying Eagle. I think because so much corrotion on it,it is hard to tell whether or not is a 6 or 8. I take pride in selling my items as best
