A highly unusual and attractive 18th century ladies washing basin, with a motif of black flying magpies,swirling black waves with flowers, and famille verte boys playing on the wall interior of the bowl. This bowl is rendered to the Chinese taste, and most likely not made for export. The wide rim has delicate floral spray border,exterior with iron red sprays. Nice quality porcelain, a lovely and rare collectors piece which displays very well. Condition: Excellent. Normal wear for period, but no chips,hairlines or damage. Enamels are clear and sharp.
