Famous Funnies No. 5 December, 1934 The Eastern Color Printing Company This rare comic book is in VG-/VG condition. Front cover is lightly dust soiled, with heavier soiling at the upper right edge. T is a 1/4" x 1/4" chip at the lower left corner at the spine. This chip includes the two pages, which smell slightly musty. Pages are tanning, mainly at the upper margins, but they are not brittle, and still retain suppleness. The spine is heavily rubbed and is indented at the staples. T are five small stress creases at the spine and spine seams. Rear cover is also dust soiled but has no creasing or chipping. This issue contains the first Christmas oriented cover that was on a newstand comic book. Strips include Buck Rogers, Little Brother, Nipper, Hairbreadth Harry, Buttons and Fatty, Joe Palooka, Jane Arden, and others. Winning bidder pays $2.75 for media mail or $6.00 for priority shipping.
