I Promise to pack everything very securely - Thanks!Up for auction are 3 solid earlier issues of FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND magazine. All three issues have a bit of wear and tear as is to be expected from magazines that are 44 years old. All three issues still have good eye appeal and lie flat and the covers still retain a nice amount of gloss. I would say that the interior pages would be considered OFF WHITE. All three have square spines. FAMOUS MONSTERS #26 - JANUARY 1964. - The spine is intact. - Tanning is evident on portions of the cover. - T are a couple of small tears on the lower right hand side of the the front cover. - T are some faint creases on the front and back covers. - Some of the pages were printed with red ink involved. Color was rare on the interior pages of Famous Monsters. - I would say that this is a “VERY GOOD +” copy. FAMOUS MONSTERS #27 - MARCH 1964. - The spine is overall fairly solid but it has a 1” split at the bottom. - T are stress marks on the spine that extend into the front and back covers. - T are 2 small areas of paper loss and a 5/16” tear on the top of the front cover. - T is evidence on the front cover when you angle this issue to the light that someone once used this copy as backing when they drew something. It is not too bad but it is t - T is a 6” crease on the lower left portion of the back cover. - I would grade this as a “VERY GOOD” copy. FAMOUS MONSTERS #28 - MAY 1964. - The spine still seems to be fairly firmly attached BUT t is a 1/2” split at the top and a 2 1/2” split at the bottom. - The top right corner of the front cover is missing. - A couple of creases are evident on the back cover. - A coupon has been neatly clipped-out on page 73 for the ‘Famous Monsters Speak” LP advertisement. - I would say that this is a “GOOD+” copy. Well, with all of the imperfections that I have just sighted above, I feel compelled to point out that these are still solid issues that will be acceptable additions to your collection until you choose to upgrade... All three magazines are in FRESH MYLAR BAGS with ACID FREE BACKING BOARDS.
