Fresh out of a well-to-do Weston, MA estate comes this Extra-Fancy and Ornate BRADLEY & HUBBARD Solid Cast Brass Magazine or Document Holder (It is too large to be a letter holder, that is why I am classifying this a Magazine Holder). Very elaborate casting all the way down to the hairy lion's feet. Bottom mark says "B & H / 3572" . I would guess this piece to be either Late-19thC or Early-20thC vintage. It is 12-1/8" high and 10-1/2" wide. Nice condition with no damage or distortions to metal I can find. It looks like someone polished this piece in the not too distant past. T are some darkish stains on the interior bottom surface (more persistent polishing might take care of these). Nice Bradley & Hubbard piece- I've never seen this one before. Weighs 5.5 lbs. unboxed.
