This Beautifully French Louis XVI empire designed Marble mantle clock made by the noted Seth Thomas clock company was purchased from a recent estate sale along with several other antique clocks. (Please view the pictures below). The clock's incredible case was created from a Black Marble with decorative inlaid designs of a highly grained Brown,Red and White Marble to create a fabulous contrast. The clock's case is very impressive in size with a overall height of 11 1/2" and a wide base width of 14". The case is supported on four Brass metal feet that have a softer material on the bottom to protect your furniture. Surrounding the Brown and White grained marble inlays are engraved Golden floral designs . The front lower part of the Marble case also has another large engraved Golden Floral arrangement that almost goes the entire length. The back of the case has a Brass metal hinged door that gives access to the movement inside. The Large face of the clock is also beautifully designed and protected behind a thick, beveled , clear and circular shaped glass panel the is framed with a Golden Brass metal edging that is accented with a beaded pattern.
