We were lucky to acquire it from a high end private estate in France! This rare clock set is made of the most gorgeous bronze you will ever see! The set has two different colours of bronze,the bronze gilt and a bronze brown patina. This SPECTACULAR French clock set was made between 1880 and 1900.The Samuel Marti French movement is of the highest quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker. The clockmakers mark ( S.Marti-Medaille- Bronze (Bronze Medal) is on the movement backplate. Samuel Marti was one of the famous French clockmakers at that time.The porcelain dial is beautiful with Roman numerals and gorgeous steel hands.!Perfect running and striking condition with 8 days going work and the 1/1 and 1/2 hours striking on a silvered bell.The dial is protected by a little door with a beveled glass.This would be the most incredible addition to your dining room or office!
