This is a museum piece of antique, early 20th century Old Hickory furniture. It is a spectacular day bed or chaise lounge completely in the original condition with a mellowed gray patina than only time can create. It has been on the same enclosed porch in eastern NC for well over 70 years. The chaise measures a commodious 28" wide by 81" long by 20'"off the floor. It has the original branded or stamped label on the bottom that reads, Old Hickory Chair Co. Martinsville, IND . The piece is in excellent condition and all the legs and supports are as tight as when the piece was made. All of the hickory splints are in excellent condition with only a minor loss on one corner--and I mean minor. The underneath has all the original wood backing from the foot to the head. Just a great piece of American Rustic Revival furniture from the nation's premier manufacturer. If you have that large bungalow or log cabin with a large porch, this is the show piece to set it off. Don't miss a piece that will never come around again in this style or condition! This, of course, is too large to ship so I will offer pick up only or I will deliever up to 200 miles from Greenville, NC for the cost of gas.
