You are bidding on a World War Two Canadian Officer's Overcoat. This coat is in fantastic condition with no flaws that I can see. It is 65 years old, and I am sure one could find something on it, but I think it would be very tough. This coat is a 9.5! It is made from an excellent quality private purchase soft wool material...I do not think they make anything like it today. The lining is excellent as well. The shoulder straps have slits for two Lt's rank pips on each shoulder, but they are not very noticable as they close themselves up. The coat is not marked as far as size, but it is a generous size 40/41 by modern overcoat standards. I wear a 44 coat, and can easily get it buttoned on, but could not wear it over anything, and it is tight on me though the chest. Remember, this is an overcoat and made to go over a uniform. The coat is named and dated 1940. I know a little about the owner...he was from B.C. and served in Italy, but not much else. This is a great coat to wear or add to your collection! The approximate measurements are as follows so you can check my sizing estimates to your frame: Under Armpits/Chest 23".....that's 46" around....but remember this is an overcoat not a sweater! Across the Top of the Shoulder, to the top Shoulder Seams 20" Sleeve Length 24.5" to Shoulder Sleeve Length 16" to Under Armpits Length read more
