This auction is for a wood and tin candle mold in excellent condition, with no breaks or repairs. I believe the candle mold was made in the mid to late 1800's. It retains 5 of the 6 original steel pins that were used to tie the wicks. The mold measures 13 inches long, 10.5 inches deep, and 11.5 inches high. This is a rare opportunity to purchase an early American candle mold in great condition.I missed a small piece of tin that is missing on the top of the mold w you would pour the wax into the mold.The bare wood that you see on the one side was covered with a piece of tin like the one you can see on the other side.The piece of tin was 7/8 of an inch wide and ran the length of the top.I do not feel that this is affects the value but it was brought to my attention and I wanted to mention it.
I will not sell the item before the end of the auction. Buyer pays $30.00 for shipping and handling. International postage will be more.
