This rare issue features the origin of Doctor Doom in a fascinating story by Stan Lee with fantabulous art by the king himself, Jack Kirby (along with Chic Stone). In Near Mint condition, this comic book has previously auctioned for as high as $3,250. With two Fantastic Four motion pictures grossing nearly $1 billion worldwide--both featuring the FF's arch-nemesis Doctor Doom--the value of this first edition could soon triple, so get it while you can! Its collectible beauty is enhanced by the mint-condition case in which it was sealed when its grade was certified by CGC (#0150116004) in January 2008.I scanned the covers immediately prior to CGC grading so that you may clearly see this comic's excellent condition both with and without the protective CGC case. I did and I was royally ripped off! They look 3-dimensional in the illustration, but they are really as flat as a pancake when you open the little box that comes in the mail, and they won't even stand upright on a threadbare carpet! (As you can tell, this experience psychologically traumatized my 5-year-old psyche for life!)
