This Beautiful Old German Musical Cuckoo clock was carved in the Black Forest region of Germany. (Please view the pictures below) The clock's fabulous and very artistic Hand carved and Hand painted all wooden case measures a very impressive 18" from top of bird to bottom of pendulum with a width of 9" at the widest point. The old German wood carver really showed his artistic ability in depicting a little pitched roof Mountain Chalet as the main center of the clock. The top of the Chalet is accented with a lovely and colorful hand painted Mountain Yellow headed and Red breasted Blue Bird with wings spread . He is landing on a hand carved tree branch that has lovely dimensional carved Maple leaves on both sides. The front of the Chalet is completely surrounded with move carved Forest floral such as tree branches and leaves. These Gorgeous carvings were carved from a single piece of wood. On both sides are two more of the lovely and colorful Blue birds with Golden eyes. The front of the case displays the face that is numbered in White Roman numerals and marked "Germany" at the bottom. The movement was created from Brass metal and powered by three metal pine cone shaped weights that hang from Brass chains. The clock is operated by a swinging hand carved Maple leaf pendulum.
