You are admiring an outstanding specimen, a Pterynotus miyokoae (Kosuge, 1979), w/operculum, measuring 41.4mm and graded F++/Gem...such classic form & super dark color pattern is displayed on this deep H2O specimen. This treasure also displays beautiful winged & flaring varices also known as "wings". Until recent years, this deep water species was a great rarity and is still, today a greatly sought after species. This beauty was collected with tangle nets off Talikud Island, Philippines. A member of the Muricadae family, this particular Pterynotus miyokoae will be one you will forever be proud to display...it is gorgeous!! Good luck and we hope you win this one.
