New and very rare FBI Mug made in the USA by the Kapan Kent Company of BLACK glass (NOT cheap ceramic) with gold accents. Has the seal of the FBI on one side and the explanation of the FBI seal on the other side. This is the REAL FBI mug and is not found in souvenier shops.(I have included in this item description for easier reading than from the photo). A really beautiful mug representing the brave men and women of our wonderful FBI. Thanks. Heraldry of the seal of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Each symbol and color in the FBI seal has special significance. The dominant blue field of the seal and the scales on the shield represent justice. The endless circle of 13 stars denotes unity of purpose as exemplified by the 13 original states. The laurel leaf has, since early civilization, symbolized academic honors, distinction and fame. There are exactly 46 leaves on the two branches since there were 46 states in the Union when the FBI was founded in 1908. The significance of the red and white parallel stripes lies in their colors. Red traditionally stands for courage, valor and strength, while white conveys cleanliness, light, truth and peace. As in the American Flag, the red bars exceed the white by one.
