Federal Style Bookcase Secretary Bureau antique Gorgeous Marquetry in this 1950 Mahogany furniture Absolutely stunning secretary! It features exquisite marquetry throughout. The secretary is topped by a finely carved interrupted pediment. Individually paned glass doors with beautiful fret work, house two glass shelves. It has a slant front writing surface, that is sturdily supported by hand drawn lopers with solid brass pulls. A meticulously carved interior with pigeon holes, secret compartments, serpentine drawers, and lovely marquetry. It also features five dovetailed drawers, with raised cock beading, and bracket feet on the front and back of the secretary. It also has a lighted cabinet, solid brass locks and hardware, with the original keys. The exquisite marquetry covers the entire piece, it designs of urns, flowers, floral swags, bellflower swags, scrolls, and ribbons and bows. It is functional as it is beautiful! This statement making piece will add a touch of elegance to any room! In excellent original condition, only very minor, due to age, nothing structurally wrong. The measurements are 22"D x 48"W x 100"H.
