This is a solid mahogany 6 drawer dresser with original antique brass hardware. The pictures reveal the sturdy, solid construction of this piece. This is solid wood - no veneer (see details of the drawer and the interior of the piece). The wood is in great condition. The top is free from any nicks or water rings. The piece does have nicks (from age) on the front and sides (none are significant). The feet are scuffed from being moved several times but they are in solid condition. T is a name etched into the the left side in the trim piece that separates the top and bottom portions approx. 2-1/2 in. from the rear. The drawers are solid wood (no veneer) and are constructed with dovetail joints. Each of the drawers slide with ease - all wooden drawer slides are in tact. The hardware has a sunburst design in the center of the handle. Each drawer pull has a matching ring that fits flush to the wood to prevent wear when opening. The dresser was manufactured by the Continental Furniture Company of High Point, North Carolina (the manufacturer's tag is still attached to the back). The piece weighs about 155 pounds and is 52 in. tall, 32 in. wide and 20 in. deep. Originally purchased as part of a bedroom set in the 1930s or 1940s. This was a piece from my great uncle's estate and has been in my family ever since. This piece has not been read more
