PRICE LOWERED TO SELL as i will be handing it back to my friend soon - well i have had this since november 2011, plenty of interest but still no takers? ...This is my friends Fender 40th Anniversary USA Stratocaster guitar and original Fender hard-case up for auctioned sale, i plugged this in as soon as i got it home and yeah... it is good?, i am not really into the strat look but could adopt this (if my mate would let me), i am more into my Jackson, Washburn and Rich metal guitars. The 40th anniversary Strat has been used but is in a really good condition, with close scrutineering i found two very small indentations on reverse of headstock, slight swirling on the body probably down to when being cleaned but there are no other dings or chips anywhere to be seen, has been looked after and always placed back in the original Fender supplied case after use out of harms way, the case has a couple of slight marks just to prove it is doing its job, this is a 1994 40th Anniversary Stratocaster in a nice rich red colour, celebrating 40 years of the Fender Stratocaster Guitar, plays really well, low action and real quality sound, the pickups have been professionally upgraded with "Texas Special Pickups" ones, it really does sound good through my Marshall Amp, the neck plate has the year "1994 40 years and still rockin" engraved onto it, the scratch-plate is slightly off white (due to age...but i cannot see that myself and i reckon is hardly noticeable). Rosewood neck with dot inlays, the all important headstock with the 40th anniversary emblem on it, there is a tremelo arm with the strat and is still in the guitar case hidden pocket recess, including a great lockable guitar case (one key only) to keep this quality instrument safe and sound. I thought of Strats as "SQUIRE" learner/beginner guitars and after playing this one, i know being the main FENDER brand that they are pure quality (but still not exactly my style though), i would honestly say to anyone out there who has seen this advert....Come and try it (got to be serious about the purchase though) i have a Marshall MG30DFX and you are welcome to come and have a go, i DO NOT usually offer that as i am a pretty Private person (well.. not so pretty), photographs are not showing the guitar to its best really...i will it give a clean, polish and pack it very, very well indeed if to be sent via courier?, due to the value of this item i have had to have it valued to the maximum (probably beyond), it will be insured (enhanced compensation insurance taken out to cover full value replacement value of item) probably more than it sells for and more importantly be tracked and requiring a signature from the destination address...Pure Quality, can only escalate in value in years to come, i have seen other Anniversary models for sale but this is the first 40th i have seen and had the pleasure of playing (all be it for a fairly brief period). Collection is welcome but rest assured it will be packed OTT if to be sent via courier. This was originally on Ebay for a much higher figure but my friend would like it sold soon or will go and part exchange it at a big guitar store around the Portsmouth area, who are bound to hike the price to make a tidy profit?.... Priced for a very quick sale as will be handing it back to my friend very soon and he can trade it in or whatever he wants to do with it, i have tried to sell since nov 2011 and have failed, those interested in this genuinely may see it listed one more time on ebay and then that will be it. read more
