Welcome to this auction for a used, vintage TWEED FENDER , DELUXE GUITAR AMPLIFIER, circa 1959 ! With the exception of normal maintenance parts {tubes, caps, screws, cords}, I believe this amp to be original. The amp sounds fantastic. There is the normal, very slight hum of a tube amp, but outside of that, the amp is very quiet. The amp has just been service-checked by my amp tech and he gave the amp a clean bill of health. The power transformer numbers are.... 6452M / "Triad Transformer" . The output transformer is stamped 108 . The chasis serial # is D 07115 . The speaker is the original Jensen blue bell with the stamped codes of ... 220903: P12R ; C59163 . Pots date 137 906. In my humble opinion, this is a very good sounding amp... having those nice, lush, warm tube tones., with a little "bite" and LOUD. The cabinet is structurally sound. Original cabinet and original tweed, with only minor tweed nicks and snares. The tube chart shows Production 26 , "Deluxe" amplifier ; stamped IC . The chrome control plate is in good condition, with only minor corrosion. Most of the white lettering is in tact. The power cord has a couple of burned spots, where the shield and insulation have been damaged.
