This is an early 1997 Custom Shop ordered Malmsteen neck (see stamp). I think it was custom made before Fender went into full production. It has been made from a standard neck as you can see the original dots on the side. New ones were added after the scalloping. The neck is dead flat and has no visable fret wear. The deep scalloping goes from fret to fret with no flat 'land' by the frets. I have had this neck for about five years as I bought the original complete guitar for a relic ' project'. I am also selling the original body as another listing. The neck has some nice varnishing cracking and has gone a darker yellow because of it's age. It has a couple of very minor dents but has no chips out of it. It has screw holes from where a kahler locking nut was fitted, there is some slight damage to the varnish here and a couple of little screw holes on the back from an allen key holder. The brass nut is cut for .009' set of strings. The neck will be shipped with insurance cover by Parcel Force Next Day Special Delivery.
