#4 Fenton Art Glass Miniature Hand Painted ROUND BASKET, Willow Green OPALESCENT with a pink floral pattern This Fenton Basket is the number four in the series of Fenton Miniature Basket Collection made especially for QVC. � "The Miniature Basket Collection” features 11 handmade Fenton baskets in various colors, � patterns and� treatments and one wooden display shelf. � � Six of the 11 will be handpainted and signed by the skilled Fenton artist who decorated them. � This basket is the ROUND Willow Green with a pink floral pattern. � It has no chips, cracks, hairlines or other defects. � I will be listing most of the remaining baskets in the Miniature Basket Collection. � These baskets were issued in sets except for # 5 . � It came with the wooden display shelf. � Each set of two came with one hand painted and one without the painting, ( except , of course the number 5 ). � See my listing this week. I will list each basket seperately and let the buyer know the numbered set. Fenton mini-baskets began in 1942 and have been produced sporadically ever sice. � The are prised by collectors who understand that it is more difficult to make a miniature than a standard size basket. � Large hands and tools do not bbend as quickly as necessary to complete the flutes or handles on these tiny treasures. � It also takes the same number of workers
